The purpose of the building inspector is to approve permits and conduct the inspection of permitted worked under the 2015 Michigan Residential Code, 2015

Michigan Building Code and 2018 Rehabilitation Code. The township issues permits and makes inspections to protect the public by making sure the work is done by qualified persons.

All Electrical, Mechanical,and Plumbing inspections are done by a state inspectors.
